our aims

• to provide opportunities for keen musicians of all ages to develop their musical skills and to use those skills in regular performances
• to give our members the chance to be inspired by excellent music educators in a variety of settings
• to give musicians practical opportunities to apply their understanding of music theory in workshop and live performance situations. to arrange gigs and jam sessions, allowing our members as many performance opportunities as possible
• to encourage the people who meet at our workshops to start their own groups and support them in the many different tasks faced in putting on a performance
• to provide an internet forum that supports musicians in the many different aspects of performance
• to build up local communities where people of all ages can come together as friends, performers and audiences, sharing the music which unites us.
